We finally arrived in our student housing and I am completely enjoying the fact that I no longer have to live out of a suitcase! The rest of our classmates also arrived and we are scheduled to meet with Kyle (our professor) and his wife Melain in the morning. I had Kyle as a professor last semester and thoroughly enjoyed his teaching style, so I am looking forward to another great semester.
We have only been in the student housing for half a day, but I am already meeting a lot of great people. Hoping to meet more and to learn as much from them as I can (especially from those who actually speak French.)
Oh, and I am finally able to order food and drinks in French, with terrible pronounciation, but I am trying and progressing in the right direction. I must keep in mind that I will still need to learn a little Italian and greatly improve upon my Spanish skills (which hardly exists since I only took two years in high school) during this trip... Challenges make everything much more interesting!
This post must come to an end before I go insane with the European keyboard. I feel like this is my first time typing since many of the letters/symbols are placed differently. Once wi-fi is up and running on my laptop I wont (cant find the apostrophe key..) struggle as much!
Good news!!! Can't wait to hear about what the class entails!!!! Love you!!
